THE 5th ANNUAL SUPER HERO FOR SMILES 5K AT IMAGING USA

1/20/2019

Begin iUSA with a running start. . .

RUNNING TO HELP OTHERS

Expect to have a great time with your fellow Imaging attendees as you run,  walk, skip or hop around the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort for the 4th annual "Super Hero for Smiles" 5K. The goal here is to bring smiles to kids and have a great time.  PPA Charities has contributed over $700,000 to Operation Smile which has helped fund over 2900 surgeries for children with cleft palates.   If you decide to run, walk or give, just know that because you are participating, someone’s life will be changed.
The Super Hero 5K is a timed race and awards the top 3 male and female finishers.

  • SUPER HERO 5K?

    Q: What is PPA Charities.

A: PPA Charities is the philanthropic arm of PPA. They host a series of events year round to raise money for Operation Smile, NILMDTS and photographers in need. Learn more at ppacharities.com

Q: How is my entry fee used?

A: First of all, your entry fee goes directly to PPA Charities. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the 5K is completely funded before one person registers. That means every dollar you spend goes to help those in need.

    Q: Why a 5K?

A: A 5K is a 3.1 mile run, jog or walk that does the body good and you will be able to start iUSA knowing you helped someone else. It is also a great way to meet your fellow iUSA attendees.

  • CAN I REGISTER AT iUSA?

    Q: How can I register.

A: On-site registration will be available during packet pick-up hours on January 12th and 13th near the Imaging USA registration area. Registration will also be available at 6:30am on Sunday, January 14th at the race location. The rate for registration after Dec 14th is $45

  • WHERE DO I GO?

    Q: Packet Pickup.

A: Participants have two options. They may pick up their packet early on Friday, Jan 12th or on Saturday, Jan 13th  near the Imaging USA registration area. You can also pick up your packet on Sunday, Jan 14th at the race location at 6:30 am

Q: Race start time and location.

  • WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN?

Q: How does the virtual run work?

A:  We all want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. PPA Charities allows us to do that by directly transforming the lives of those in need of a smile. If you can’t join the party in Atlanta on race day, you can join us in spirit through the virtual run. All you have to do is promise that you are going to do a 5K. How you do it is up to you. To celebrate your commitment to the children, we will send you your packet in the mail following Imaging USA. Your packet will include a fabulous t-shirt, a shiny medal and a commemorative PPA Charities Superhero for Smiles Runner Bib. You can display this with pride knowing that you went beyond yourself to transform someone’s life.

  • WHAT DOES MY ENTRY INCLUDE?

Q: What do I get for my entry fee

A: All participants will receive a race shirt and finisher medal. The top three male and female finishers will receive a special award. While not guaranteed, we WILL have photographers providing FREE finish line photos that will be made available via Facebook.

    Q: Is the race timed?

    A: Yes, timing is included.

  • HOW CAN I DO MORE?

Q: I would like to get involved.

A: You can help support the race by becoming one of the underwriting sponsors. For as little as $250 you can fund a surgery for a child with a cleft palate. As a “thank you” your name will appear on the race shirt and you will receive a certificate to display testifying to your commitment to changing lives. You can also directly support PPA Charities.
